USA Today used to be a bastion of fairness as evidenced by its landmark 1992 spread on the Civil Rights movement; then about 1998 it turned to its version of the Southern Strategy-first hiring conservative columnist Linda Chavez to blast blacks and affirmative action, to its most recent hack job om Obama (Obama got 54 applauses in 55 minutes at a recent event, yet USA Today concentrated on one boo that was not even a boo, but a "rustling-shifting of chairs-sighing-humming" anything but a boo, just to try and make Obama look bad; to a recent front page article on virulently racist Limbaugh as an iconic figure at the top of the Conservative heep!!
And what did this Southern Strategy get USA Today?
A 17% drop in circulation.
It could not have happened to nicer guys:
NEW YORK (AP) - USA Today is expecting to report a 17 percent decline in circulation. That would be its largest drop ever.
